For NZ rental operators with drivers on the road

Deliveries, collections and transfers, planned by 5pm

DayRunner is best for campervan and vehicle rental operators who run drivers: vehicle deliveries and collections, airport transfers, relocations. If your day is mostly hirers walking up to a depot counter, it isn't the right fit yet, and we'll tell you that on the call.

The 5pm job

Every evening, someone sits down with tomorrow's bookings and works it out:

  • Which driver does which delivery, collection or transfer tomorrow
  • Getting the timings to work across the day
  • Telling each hirer when the driver will turn up
  • Checking nobody goes over their hours
  • A driver off sick on a busy day

In most small operators that's the owner or the ops manager, after a full day. We estimate it takes 2 hours 20 minutes to 3 hours 20 minutes a day by hand.

What DayRunner does

  • Reads tomorrow's bookings from Rental Car Manager, or a CSV
  • Puts a driver and vehicle on each run, checking licence class, hours and who's free
  • Drafts each hirer's message for you to approve
  • Shows what needs a decision, with options
  • Shows what breaks and the best fix when a driver calls in sick

Nothing sends until you approve it.

How it works

  1. Pull tomorrow

Your bookings come in from Rezdy, FareHarbor or Rental Car Manager. No integration? Drop in a CSV.

  2. Plan the day

DayRunner puts drivers and vans on each run. It checks licence class, seats, hours and who's available. Pickups go in your stop order.

  3. Show what needs you

Only the problems. Each one comes with options. Pick one and move on.

  4. Approve and send

Guest pickup messages in your voice. Supplier reconfirmations from your own Gmail. Driver briefs. Read them, fix what you like, approve.

Quick answers

Does DayRunner replace Rezdy, FareHarbor or Rental Car Manager?

No. It reads tomorrow's bookings from them and does the planning after the sale. Your booking system stays where it is.

How long does setup take?

For you, about an hour. Send us your fleet list and last week's bookings and we do the rest. Tomorrow is planned within 24 hours.
